marina bay sands, s'pore

Familiar?

If you have not seen this building before, you must have been that frog living under the coconut shell all this while.  :P

It's the 'in'-est thing in S'pore at the moment and during my trip in the Merlion city (for Sem's wedding), a few of us popped over to Marina Bay Sands for some photo-capturing.

I also think it was Geng Yoke's charm that got us into the Skypark without paying the SGD20 entrance fee for non-guests. Those suckers, haha.

The entire place is one heck of a creation. So spectacular; especially the night view.

The photos here are few (sadly) and don't even do justice to the spectrum of wonder and awe you get when you are actually there.

Watch out for the 150m Infinity Pool for the most amazing panoramic view.

Here are all the photos ... that turned out best. Enjoy.

We are the 3 Yokes - Pooi Yoke, Geng Yoke and Mei Yoke

 My Lumix baby's interpretation ....
Pooi Yoke's Canon S90's interpretation ..... 2 thumbs up for their night shots!!
 Fire dancers!

Last pic.....

Oober impressive place to visit!

Go you must!!

wedding : sem and adelyn

Last month, i joined dear and his super Form 6 gang down to Singapore to attend Sem's wedding reception and dinner. Sem should be so touched that all of us took the effort to plan and took time off to be with him on his utmost special day. So big was the gang, but we still insisted squeezing into Sem's tiny hotel room.

We were more comfortable on the balcony. heeehee..
The lovely ladies accompanied the groom to pick up his bride just a few doors (and floors) away.
The friends of the bride certainly didn't make things easy for Sem who had to struggle through a tough Q&A, sing and plead his way through.
But when it came to performing his 'yoga' task,
poor dear was the chosen one to flex those limbs of his.
The rings. Elegant.
Next, we proceed to the hotel poolside for the wedding reception.
Except for the blazing sun that morning, the outdoor setting for the wedding solemnization was just
p-e-r-f-e-c-t!

The rat pack.
The odd couple.
The lovely couple walking down the so-called aisle. Check out the bride's bold and sassy outfit.
A sprinkling of flower petals to signify the countless blessings we shower onto the celebrated couple. :o)
Nevermind about the cleaning up later.
The bouquet-tossing session afterwards, which i wasn't part of.
A quick glance of Sem and Adelyn's wedding album...
Next came the wedding lunch at the same hotel, Changi Village. In Changi, of course.
ooops, here goes the rat pack again, doing what they do best.....smile silly!
Lovely mementoes were given to each couple...

In return, we gave the couple one of our priceless poems.
Biggest flower i've ever seen, dear.

Anyway, let's talk food now.
Here's what was served...
Right about now, our extreme hunger is well hidden from the camera.
Magical setting of the hotel ballroom...
Finally, the couple makes a very bubbly entrance, much to the surprise of us eager guests.
I dared to take pictures of the food coz i know 80% of the people on my table. lol.
ok, actually, they already know i'm some freaking blogger so they (un)willingly invited me to take photos of the food first.

Here goes....
Treasure Combination Platter
Braised Shark's Fin Soup with Crab Meat

shark's fin dissolved into soup jor?
Sauteed King Prawn with Salad Dressing and Fresh Fruits
(chop chop!)

Time for an attire change .... and once again, bring out the bubbles.
Don't worry, no kids were harmed or made to stand in line to blow bubbles from those old-school plastic bottles.
There was a giant bubble-making machine placed near the door. How cool to have it in my home!
Steamed Garoupa, HK Style
Stir-fried Pacific Clams & Seasonal Vegetables with Oyster Sauce
Barbequed Guang Dong Duck
Braised Egg Noodles with Assorted Seafood
Cream of Mango with Sago and Pomelo

holy, check out the amount of sago i had in mine!
and finally,

ONE FOR THE ALBUM ~ Ci-CAK!
Heartiest congratulations to Sem and Ade!! ^.^
