birthday : choy phyll's at rendezvous

Auntie, oops i mean choy phyll, has a soft spot for Rendezvous Steak Garden restaurant, not because of its steak, but because of its tomyam soup. But then, so do i, so do i!!

So who dared say no when choy phyll wanted her birthday dinner to be at Rendezvous.
The happiest looking one of all is choy phyll.
yin and jin ~ the place was rather dim, so the photos taken were either lacklustre looking,
or real bright if you use a flash.
fong and i were wearing almost similar tops.
jin and i got tired of waiting for our food, so we stepped aside for a little fist challenge of our own.
i can't remember who won.
Our food finally arrived!
Rendezvous serves some real fantastic appetizers/ finger food.
I lurrrve their Cheese-baked Escargot,
very very tasty yet crispy garlic bread,
and cheesy potato skins.
OMG, all 3 appetizers turned out to be surprisingly good.
Some of the ala-carte dishes we called were the Salmon Steak,
Does this look like Chicken or Beef, i'm not sure...
and someone's Lamb Shank looks real tender.
However, for me and esp choy phyll, nothing beats their tomyam soup filled with big prawns and squid. Only thing i missed in their soup were the abalone mushrooms.
Everyone was pretending to be busy eating instead of looking at the cam cam.
While we got choy phyll a doraemon birthday cake the last time she was here, this year, we got her a cake that didn't look like a cartoon character, but tasted so much better.
Dun worry, choy phyll...you dun look a day over 53 years.
(kidding kidding)
You look so bubbly all the time, you hardly look like you've aged ever since the first time I saw you.
How do you do that exactly...!
 mmm, must be the hair.
