Cny is finally over. This year has been one of my busiest, what with numerous open houses, including mine.
Cards like these are a norm during this festive season,But we instead chose to play ..erm...
... UNO cards.
The best part about CNY for me is the food, since i've now lost the luxury of swimming in a collection of ang pow money.
How nice is it that another colleague of mine, Yin Pheng had offered to cook us lunch during our CNY house visit?
Very nice.... :D :D
Yin Pheng is the daughter of a famous cookbook author, Sifu Phang.
So eh-hem, don't let us down.
jaga api baik baik.... |
Not to say dunwan to help, I had to play babysitter ma.
And Choy Phyll was busy entertaining us with her soprano singing.
Then, it was time to eat!
This Jelly with Milo centre was absolutely refreshing and delicious.
This messy-looking blob was actually one of the best char-siew (bbq pork) i ever tasted. A sifu Phang specialty.
Stir-fried Sausages in special sauce is Yin Pheng's unique creation. I remember her mentioning the numerous variety of sauces in it. All i got was Worcestershire sauce; forgot the rest.
Another Sifu Phang signature dish, the pork roll. Nice crispy outer layer with tender juicy minced pork.
This was Pork Leg Vinegar we ta-paoed earlier from Agnes' house. Fyi, i'm not a fan of this dish (the soup too strong for me!) so i just took the egg. :P
The centre-piece of the dining table was this huge pot of curry chicken. YUMMMM!!! Almost instantly, we were all like digging for the potato in the curry. What is it about potatoes in curry? They are the best.
We are a bunch of hungry very greedy people......
Sassy Belinda making us look even more awkward in this picture.
Everybody smile and say 'ho jiak'!!
Chillaxing after lunch, we were too full to even budge.
Then Jun How (Belinda's little angel) found himself a new playmate.
Or should i say arch enemy.
This little monkey is so freaking fond of his fave superhero, Ultraman,
that he even lets them wear diapers.
