Malacca Makan2 Trip

Welcome to my humble crib in Malacca! First, pose for the camera with Yin2, Mr and Mrs Woo before masuk rumah..haha, Woo making the usual 'monkey-faces' again..
Very easy to recognise my home..it looks like a police station doesn't it?! with a huge compound too..used to be planted with mango trees, but now very kosong..and we got Mary posing pretty in our flower garden.. ;D

Below: 5-star accomodation for my guests!

Above :That's me so proud of my hse (err..dining area)..and that's uncle Richard showing Fong2 some places to eat in M'cca..thk God for another M'ccan (Fong2) as i'm so blind at reading maps..!...Woo and Agnes admiring my fridge at the back...while mummy can't wait for us to get out of the hse! haha
Supposedly the best Taiwan beef noodle soup...look at the color & u know the soup is 'kao kao' wan! nose oso bleed man...
Most of us took the Pork Rib mee instead...tasty and tender!

Thumbs up by Mary and Yin2!
sluurrrppp..can advertise for the shop dy!

Next stop, Satay Babi (at shop lots opp Mahkota Parade)..my first time here too! not bad..though i find the meat too small portion...still Bkt Piatu's Satay's the best.

After a hot day, nothing beats a delicious, sweet, creamy, cold bowl of CENDOL! Even better if u enjoy it sitting under a wooden shack of this Nyonya place, 'Donald & Lily' (in Kota Laksamana)

Preparation of cendol..this guy makes them non-stop!

oh oh, what is Agnes doing in a Maternity Wear boutique leh?

Bottom: The ladies standing along the M'cca river, enjoying the wind...and Woo (as usual) trying to sabotage our picture perfect moment..haha! too bad we didn't hv the time to go for the river cruise...next time girls!

Many nice souvenier and antique shops along Jonker street which usually open till night time every weekend...i think M'cca is the only place u cn find all types of design and sizes for clogs (i believe it's called 'sepatu')...any clogs collectors out there? no easy task trying to walk with them too.

Right : haha..i like this photo a lot coz it was totally CANDID! don't ask me what we were doing but i think it had sth to do with the guy holding the cowboy hat buat kacau again! ROTFL...

Below: It's night time and also time to get all sweat-drenched and sticky as we thronged through hoards of ppl along the streets of Jonker Walk.

When in M'cca, it is a MUST to eat our Satay Celup..either the Capitol Satay in Bunga Raya/ my fave one on Jln Ong Kim Wee..Those who can't take spicy food (shame on u, Woo! haha) gets a bowl of hot water to wash wash in it..

Top : Woo to the girl counting the no of sticks we took.. "Lu kira baik2 ar..." ...haha joker!

Next morning, we woke up to..MORE FOOD! I brought them to a dim sum shop near home..cheap and delicious! (only RM 50+ for 7 of us)..my fave is the wu-kok (yam puff) and fried radish cake..serves good lor-mai-kai too!

After a wholesome b/fast, time to visit our 'brothers and sisters'...at the ZOO! ..
look...i found my (small) horse to pose with...haha

backside also want to take photo..
this tiny black bird at the zoo entrance greeted us 'assalamualaikum'

beautiful goat...nice horns ..this photo specially taken for sa-cheh..

me and Yin2 (and her 'brother' Tiger!)
Right: I think this is a lemur..exposing its all...haha...i'm pretty sure he was in some cartoon before...can't remember which one though..

Another version of Cendol at a Nyonya restaurant in Melaka Raya called BAYONYA. The food is nice and price still ok...ate here numerous times..like the Udang Masak Lemak Nanas, Ikan Goreng Cili Garam, Sambal Petai Udang, etc.. For reservations, call 06-2922 192.

...and the trip to M'cca concludes here...for now...hope my guests enjoyed it as much as i enjoyed playing host with Fong2! ><

buying clothes online...

I used to think those people who shop for clothes online :-
a) are too lazy to drag their feet to an actual mall, pick up their clothes and queue for the fitting room; or
b) are too self-conscious to be seen shopping in public?; or
c) have too much money to fling around that they will risk buying something they merely 'see, read and imagine', only to find out later that the size ain't right/ they didn't look half as good as the model who wore it!
until i was googling one boring night, lookin for boutiques that sell small-sizes clothes...when i came across some places that were not bad at all...

ok, now wouldnt call myself petite size (that only applies to ppl like MsKhooBeeJin!) but seriously, for me MNG punya XS oso leave some ruang here and there ..now talk about trying to get even a pair of working slacks! i've been looking for a black pair of working slacks for ages now! Padini XS also too big..me and my small a**... huu huu....in case u do not know, i have sizes ranging fr XS - XL in my cupboard...shows i hv been the 'F' word before..hahahaha!

Thk God for Levis jeans for ladies though.! Levis spells H-O-T !

Some of the suggestion of places i managed to compile (suitable for smaller size ppl) are
  • Promod (1U, Pavi) - said to be rather costly though! my guess, Topshop, Warehouse prices

  • The Pink Pussycat (Sg Wang, 1U) - hv yet to check out

  • My Dressroom (Bangsar), Principles (Bangsar) & Poppi Boutique (Bangsar) - sounds promising

  • Urban & Co - their design very sweet and flowery..i like!..tapi recently cari2 kat MV takda pun...i think it closed down.. :-(

  • GAP, MNG - ada sales baru i masuk jenguk2..otherwise it's easily Rm 200 for a pair of pants

  • Elements - not bad for working attire...got a couple of dem blouse and skirt
  • Rest & Relax - yup they hv '0' size which are reaaally small..got a blue japanese style blouse

now back to online shopping, i shall probably one day try it...can't help it la..most of the clothes look so damn good! well, of coz it also helps that those Taiwanese big-eyed models wearing them look so darn cute! haha...my only problem is not knowing how well it fits (sure they give u the exact measurements for bust and all but they also ask that we allow about 2-3cm adjustment coz some material are stretchable..what the..) ...or what if they mail me a defective product..gasp!...good sold not returnable they say..

i'm still wundering who buys clothes online anyway...delivery charges also we pay ourselves, pricing wise not to say it's cheaper..and what if it gets lost halfway....haha

nevertheless, those really cute outfits u see above...it's from http://www.applefacefashion.blogspot.com/ & http://www.misskboutique.blogspot.com/. ..so till i find the will-power to shop online, i think i'll find a better bargain in the regular stores.....next stop, Sg Wang Plaza! ><

Story of ar-Beng

See the many expressions of ar-Beng eating his 'Ya-Ma-Teh' Chicken Rice (U-Village, BB Plaza) ..gege..
no story of ar-Beng to read here la..juz a simple message for him..Hope your life is filled with sugar and spice and everything nice! U can count on us for a Band-aid...

Love is the driving force to some people people to do wonderful things in their lives, sometimes it is the driving force also that made people do crazy things. We'll that is love, well perhaps when a person is heart broken, how a person would move on and be a the person he used to be? That is really something easy to say for some people when you ask for advice, but the truth is most people who are heart broken could hardly stand and be a man again.
When you talk your concerns to someone you trusted you felt that you have a protector willing to understand you and give you comfort. And when you talk about the reasons of your breakup you have the enormous confident and strenght to face it, but when the good times are being discussed there...your tears will start to fall. Well many would say that ACCEPTANCE is the solution, ok? let's take it but for how long can you accept the fact that the person you love is no longer at your side and here you are a zombie who can't do anything to be happy again.
Some simple tips for you on how to handle the situation you are experiencing:
1. Love is the reason why you cant forget the person and often times makes you cry, you have to let it go. How? face the fact that he or she left you because you two are not compatible.

2. Think of the things that you hated from her, starting from the way she or he did things to you and the way she or he acts towards to you and to the society.
3. Frequent drinking of Liquor or taking drugs would not solve the problem, it only removes your depression and frustration for a while then it will come back the time you're awake.
4. Try to avoid looking at the things she or he gave to you, like pictures and among others.
5. Get your phone and call your friends and mingle with them, ask for their advice and solution, it is better if there are many solutions because instead of the pain, you feel joy and comfort from them.
6. Make your self busy and focus on more important things in your life at present like work, business and among others that is fruitful. It can help you overcome the situation.
7. Think of the situation as a destiny not a tragedy. Think that there are better beings out there than your x and you are lucky because he or she has set you free before things get worst.
8. Erase her or him in your memory, you can't think of your crush and start looking for her or his number.
9. Sleep and Sleep...its peaceful
10. Well I am sure those nine tips will surely remove that love thing and enable you to move on.................But how about giving her or him a call and lay down all your hatred, your pride, forget about the troubles and just say SORRY, and I sure you it will make you happy again.
In ar-Beng's case, ....no 11. Get laid asap! ><

Get-together with old frens

Today was such a hectic day...worked my ass off first half of the day then had no choice but to leave a huge pile of work behind coz my good fren is registering her marriage today and asked me to be her witness. more photos of that occasion to come..anyway, later on i met with 3 old frens from secondary school days, Enk Hwa, Shin Yi and Dawn at Nandos, MV..the usual stuff happened..caught up on each other's work life (Dawn, YOU win hands down for having the best employer with the BEST benefits..i mean isnt it universal truth already that if you're an employee of Shell, there's simply no reason why you would want to leave....like EVER? haha..so amazing you have unlimited medical entitlement and dental+optical up to 1K/yr??), personal life (all still members of the Singles Club!), family life (so now we know whose parents often/ seldom come down and visit/ 'spot-check' on their kiddos in KL..)

We also managed to get a small tiramisu cake for Enk Hwa's belated bday celeb. We spent 3 hrs in Nandos..then wanted to catch a movie but tak jadi coz i was too up-to-date on the movies that i already watched whatever they wanted to..haha..also too bad i did not manage to take any photos, my hp ran out of battery! Samsung batteries really dun last long la..maybe it's true what aFu says..that you should charge ur hp for at least 4hrs and even though the bar is full doesnt mean it's a full charge. no wunder i had been charging me phone every day..huu huu..
