it was a 1.5 hour wait as the queue started growing speedily and my stomach started rumbling. luckily i had something to munch2.

as the shares were fully wiped out in a couple hours' time, it must be pretty disheartening for those who queued for like an hour only to find out that it was all sold out before their turn. sorry, guys. but don't fret, coz i think they're releasing more soon, in June. at least you have one less competitor then,... ME.
i almost did not managed to accomplish my mission that day, had the banker not allow my withdrawal of money to go through. that would really have sucked. sorry, i've learnt my lesson that if you were given a passbook when you opened your account, you absolutely need to bring it along for all withdrawals over-the-counter. so, you can imagine there was some pleading and giving that blur look from me and mark that day. lol.
i guess it also helped that mine was merely a 'top-up' of my previous asw 2020 account.
for the record, my RM 1,500 invested in 1996 has grown to RM 2,397 in 2008.
