Travel Bucket List - Japan (Day 7 : Ueno and Odaiba)

We decided to also make a short visit to Ueno's shopping district, Ameyoko.

As usual, lots of shopping and snacking along the way

Posing outside a noodle shop which we did not dine in.
We were off to Odaiba, a man-made island off Tokyo Bay.
DiverCity tokyo Plaza has to be the most famous shopping landmark here for obvious reasons you will see below.
Nope, not due to this toilet. I just thought it was a very well-equipped toilet out of the many found in Japan.
Dining at DiverCity food court.

This was why i wanted to come here - to see their super large life-size Unicorn Gundam statue. Watch it change mode between the Unicorn and the Destroyer few times a day. Truly an awesome experience.
This is the place to be for Gundam fanatics.
And though i'm not a fan, but it was still a truly impressive display of Gundam of all generations and variation.

For dinner, we made arrangement to meet up with an ex-colleague at this famous Okonomiyaki restaurant, Kiji.

Reliving the good old days with Okada san.
Famous Osaka style okonomiyaki which is a concoction of noodles with crispy pork and leek cooked right in front of you.

Crunchy bean sprouts.
Cheers!
Thanks for the delicious meal!
It was great to meet up again after years and at the same time, got to befriend 2 more people on Pokemon Go. Lol.

That marked the end of my virgin Japan vacay. So grateful to YP and KK for organising a huge part of all the fun and dining experience. Accommodation though cost a bit more, but was so worth paying that extra for a good night of sleep.

How i felt about Japan? The kids said it all.
Managed to have my last taste of ramen at the airport
Crazy about this egg!
It had been an amazing holiday for me with good weather at our side every single day.
Flying by amazing snow-capped mountains as we fly out of Japan.

ANA rocks as well with their top-notch service and sumptuous meals.

Can't complain about their dessert. hehe
Until my next visit, i'm super happy with my haul from Japan. If only there were more space for my instant noodle stash. LOL.
