The Beach, The Sun and a 3D Adventure in Port Dickson

If you're thinking my 3D Adventure involved some super thrilling, adrenalin-rushing sport while in PD, boy will you be disappointed. This is yet another throwback posting on my very relaxing and therapeutic Port Dickson getaway with the family and sis in law back in August 2019.

Along the way, it's customary for us to stop by Yi Poh Restaurant in Seremban for their famous noodles especially their loh shu fun!

We almost always run across the street to this shop that sells a huge variety of buns and Chinese pastries.
When i say huge, this is what i meant.

By the time you finished queuing for your siew bao, it's time to rush back over for some piping hot noodles.

Forced smile or really looking forward to finishing up that entire bowl of noodles, i absolutely have no idea.

My 3D adventure came ALIVE at this very art gallery, located in Lukut, Port Dickson.

Some funfair-like booths located on the Ground Floor
This art gallery is super fun as we got to interact with various 3D paintings. What i especially fancied was every piece of illusionism painting came with an easy-to-follow guide as to how and where to pose and the angle to take the photo from.

We were fortunate enough that there was no crowd on that day, hence we were able to pose at every single available painting. Feast your eyes on the following photos and try differentiating reality from illusion.

"I can't hold on any longer"

"aah don't bite my shirt"

"HANG ONNNN...."

"(gasp) oh my that's huge, hulk"

"HELPPPPP"

Cheeky Mark and a hair dryer

No hair dryer? No problem.

This was sure one massive painting

Hay walking on water?

This was exceptionally hilarious

This is just Mark and his bloated tummy

The kids trying to fit into an adult's trousers proved no easy feat.

These below took a few failed attempts before perfecting the shots.

We have finally sailed to the end of our 3D adventure.

What's PD without going to the beach?

We spent one night accommodation at D'Wharf Hotel & Serviced Residences. A rather high density place to stay overlooking 3 huge pools.

The Superior Twin room costing RM 222/night.
No high expectation for their buffet breakfast.

Nothing beats driving out scavenging for good seafood in PD. Lucky King Bun Restaurant is famous for their signature curry chicken bun but too bad for us, it was all sold out by the time we got there.

Thank God their superbly tasty Seafood Pot made up for all other shortcomings.

Glad we stayed 2 nights in PD so the kids got to play on the beach again.

Our other place of attraction was the Jabatan Perikanan Malaysia to visit their Pusat Ikan Hiasan in Teluk Kemang.

Gawk at the aquariums filled with some of the most beautiful and captivating marine life.

The Silver Puffer Fish

Scribbled Rabbit Fish

Ribbon Eel was the longest ever eel..yucks

Pajama Cardinal

Harlequin sweetlips ....how cool can that name be!

Special cold room where some of the finest corals are kept

Our final stop - more seafood!

Restoran Negeri Hin Yi

Weng Yin Seafood Village

Found this tiny ice cream hut right outside Weng Yin restaurant selling one of the best home made ice creams i've ever had.

Crazy refreshimg on a hot afternoon.

All in all, apart from suffering from backache due to playing mahjong every night on the hotel floor (!), it was a truly enjoyable short breakaway. Most of all, i bet the kids had the most fun and sand!

 Till next time!
