in singapore with family

Things that you usually find in a studio like this,
and like this,
you can find in my big brother's apartment in Singapore.
Right smack in his cosy little living room.
Cool or what?
I could so glue my butt onto a lazy boy chair and watch 'David Foster and Friends in Concert' again and again in the dark with blasting speakers!
While we were down in Singapore for a wedding, i dragged my parents and sis with me too so we could all bunk together in my bro's place. An awesome family reunion indeed as we went places like Marina Bay Sands...
...and filled our stomachs with good food!

Like when Irene brought us to 'Curry Wok' along Coronation Road.
Couldn't decide on which set meal to take, we ended up ordering almost every dish on the menu.
Whilst waiting for the guys to park their car...
please excuse my mom's fake grin when i asked her to smile for the camera.
Everyone's here and we were ready to eat!
We crazy ordered too much......
...Pork..
...Fish...
...Kangkung...
Otak-otak (from fish)...
...Prawn...
...Chicken...
...Cabbage...
...Pork knuckle...
Enough?
How about this tempting dollop of sambal belacan to go with all the above........!
The meal was superb, totally got the 'home-cooked' feel to it. And for drinks, the taukeh personally recommended his own concoction of lime juice with pineapple cubes. A very nice blend, i must say.
Here, we just wanted to show you that Coronation Road was a 'rich people' area.
After a nice hot and spicy lunch, nothing beats an icy cold poached chocolate.

Yup, you heard me. .. 'poached'.

Trust me, Poached Chocolate beats these Rich Chocolate Cupcakes.
Not too rich, not too sweet. Just perfect.
Don't worry, 'poached' is just a name, didn't mean they really simmer the ice cream.
We even tried their Truffle Ice cream.
yum yum, me likey anything chocolatey..
Last stop for makan was because of our craving for C-R-A-B!! And what better place to have the best black pepper crab than....
Eng Seng Restaurant on Joo Chiat Place. Not a difficult place to find at all since it's along the main road at the corner.
Only thing about this place is - you gotta pre-order your crab much much earlier, or else this lady boss here shall give you this 'Sorry, but I can't promise you there are anymore crab'-look.
We were obviously one damn happy bunch coz we got to eat CRAB!
Even happier that we got to share our crab with Mark's friends. These trio live in Singapore but haven't even eaten here before. apalah...
Looks black like tar but the taste is simply out-of-this-world....damn spicy and by the taste of it, one can't really tell what ingredients make up its sauce. Must be some family secret recipe!
Sis ordered this mee goreng mamak and it was surprisingly pretty good as well!
I didn't really had time to go shopping this time around. Basically, bro just brought us to the latest shopping attraction in town...
..ION on Orchard. .

If you wonder where Mark is .....
..he was actually standing inside this giant Christmas tree.
That's the biggest ball i've ever seen!
In a crowded place like Orchard, looking for someone is never difficult,
if you use a walkie-talkie.
Just remember how to reply the caller.
