best tandoori chicken and naan

Behold, this humble looking stall sells my new-found favourite tandoori chicken. Yet another Derek Lim recommendation, not many would notice this stall by the main road directly opposite Ampang Point, beside Galeri Gitar. Oh, and don't ask me the official name of this place as i couldn't find any signboard. But i do believe people unofficially calls it Arumugam's.

Not the slightest doubt that this place serves the best tandoori chicken and naan bread.
The cook also happens to be one of Derek's hiking kaki. That explains why some of us ain't got no tandoori to eat when Derek was on his Gunung Tahan expedition. Then again, what's better than a tandoori chef cooking for you on the mountains?
Before this, i used to get my tandoori from Steven's Corner but i didn't quite like that it came from breast meat only, which turned out very dry once roasted. But this stall's different - i could request for 'drumstick only' and i get the juiciest, spiciest, tastiest, piping hot tender drumstick on my plate.
A quick sprinkle of lime juice on it and the tangy flavour blends in perfectly well with the marinating spices.
It was blardy good i ate 2 whole drumsticks!
With 2 pieces of naan bread.
While their plain naan was cheapest, it was the naan butter that caught my belly. You can just imagine how crispy and fluffy this is.
Altogether my first time there got me trying the naan cheese and naan garlic as well.
The plain and the butter one still tops it all!
We may be small sized (with the exception of Derek), but we all had a double serving of chicken and naan that night,
followed by multiple servings of real-life stories, jokes and anecdotes from Mark.

The mess we created afterwards...
Thanks to this guy, errm...Mr Arumugam?
A note of advice, please do remove the carbon bits off this chicken when you eat them. I notice there's a quite lot of them on his chicken pieces.
With chicken after chicken being cooked in the tandoor (clay oven) the entire night, seats are pretty limited here. So let's just eat, drink, and not be merry for too long. Everyone deserves a chance to have their best tandoori meal ever!
