buble buble buble!!

What can i say...i freaking love this guy!! Yea i've been to Mariah Carey, Linkin Park and even Alicia Keys' concert, but none even comes close to over-the-top bubbly Michael Buble. I must admit, watching him perform live for that brief moment in the 'David Foster and Friends in Concert' DVD instantly made me want to be at his concert here in KL.

And guess what? I WAS at his concert just last Sun.

The place was at Stadium Malawati, Shah Alam. It was only 6pm by the time i got there with Mark and i was pleased to see some sort of a carnival going on in the stadium ground.
Lots of booths set up including one for Coffee Bean,
even KFC was there,
and pizzas anyone?
It was a great effort by the organisers to have a young singer from the International College of Music entertain the eager spectators who were lingering outside the stadium, waiting for the gates to open.
Please kick yourself in the butt if you've never heard of Michael Buble who has had 5 albums under his belt with 2 Grammy Awards in hand. ..

.... Kick already? hehe

I could only dream of people paying RM 100 just to have my face plastered all over their chest.
Happiest moment in 2011 (so far) was when i found out i'll be swaying to Michael Buble LIVE! LIVE, man!
More and more people were gathering along the steps leading to the stadium entrance.
Around 7pm, the skies were getting dark and soon after, thunder came.
These people paid good money to be here so before we were all drenched in the rain, the gates had to open early to let us in.
Surprisingly, majority of the audience were youngsters though i also saw a number of hip modern-looking ladies in their 40s and 50s there. Guess when you mix soul and jazz with a 'pop' twist, you get the best of both worlds. But one thing's for sure, there were definitely more females than males.
Wana know where i sat?
Right beside the gigantic stage, so most of the night, i was getting Buble's side silhouette.
It was easily an hour's wait before the stadium went from this...
...to this. It was a 9000 pax sold-out crowd, all ready to PAR-THAYY!!!!!
It was the best spot to look at the huge display screen placed on both sides of the stage.
Emcee Sarimah Ibrahim never looked livelier.
Opening the show was this local singer called Najwa, in which i now know that she's not only a popular folk and soul singer/ songwriter, but she is also the daughter of Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin.
Boy, can she sing..
BUT we all know that we are here for only one person - HIM.
It's all about interaction with Michael Buble. This guy can connect with the audience like no other artiste i've seen before. And the audience reciprocates.
He jokes a lot, and i mean A LOT. When was the last time a singer made you laugh so hard you were at the edge of your seat?
He jokes about how he should have ventured into shoe designing like Jimmy Choo's; he quirkily sings lines from the Black Eyed Peas 'I Gotta a Feeling', Glee, even Aladdin's 'A Whole New World'; he even showed us his Michael Jackson moves and moonwalk. Hilarious GILA!
At one point, some young teenager holding up a placard caught his attention and it was so impromptu of him to suddenly go forward and offered to give his autograph to her.
Boy oh boy, that initiated a whole group of people dashing forward to get his signature or photo or probably even to touch his hand or something. I could only sit and watch with envy at those people who paid a whopping RM 1.1K for their seats. gulp.
Then some guy shouted 'Hey we pay you not to sign auto la, we pay you to sing!' What a sucker he was!
This scene was when he sang my fave song, 'Home'. Buble's such a bubble of joy as he goes around the stadium singing and swaying to his trademark moves plus he constantly thanks his fans who has paid good money for his concert. It was such a remarkably light and easy-going concert.
Dear clearly enjoying Buble's funny one-liners and grooves to his music.
Another thing i applaud is his unique way of introducing his band of musicians. Can't really describe it here, but man, it was sarcastic, honest and heartfelt at the same time.

Michael Buble is the perfect crazy love because....

His sexy twist to any tune;
Brings me right to the moon,
Crooning with emotion;
He's the perfect love potion!

For this once in a lifetime experience, i'm most thankful to Jag Entertainment for rewarding me this very very precious ticket, based on my above winning lines. (grin)
Somemore not one, but two tickets leh!
I was so happy, I was almost in tears when i found out. (*smile uncontrollably*)
Before the final curtain drawn, Buble expressed his desire to return for another concert in the future, but that he would first strike a deal with us - either allow him to dress like Beyonce ...or fix the air conditioning in the stadium. LOL...

Next time, just come in t-shirt and bermudas, Michael!
