hey presto! ... at 'the loaf'

Recognise this place?

Not many would, given the fact that ours was the only occupied table that night.
Well, I wouldn't mind the privacy and the 'could-hear-a-pin-drop' kinda environment as long as the food was great.
And it was.

We were there to try their monthly promo dish, Presto Pesto at only RM 6.99++!
No meat in this dish, but nevertheless the sauce was awesome, rich in olive oil, the pesto wasn't overpowering, laden with lots of squashed cherry tomatoes (a bit sour though) and served with a nice generous piece of garlic baguette slice. YUMMY @_@
Thinking we should try something else from their menu, we opted for the Caesar Salad. The lettuce was the crispiest and freshest you could ever find, served with cheesy sticks and a poached egg. I love any Caesar with poached eggs! Quite the price to pay at RM 18, but good for sharing.
Downed it all with my all-time fave, Ginger Beer.
Let me warn you though, drinks here are quite costly starting from RM 7.80. My 'beer' was RM 9.80.
Still, I encourage all to try the Pasta.
