For a fee of RM 50, this was a motor hunt for 'beginners' (luckily), organised by Elken Bio Pure to promote their filtration system of R.O. water. The hunt has a cool name, though..."h2O: Did You Know" Not so lucky for us as we found out the hunt was run by the same organizers as my company's previous lrt hunt (eh-hem, which experienced some hiccups along the way). So, my team made it a point to attend the briefing before the actual day, to grab as much info and hints as we can.
Yup, call us 'kiasu' .. ^_^
This shall be our winning smiles when we're crowned champions tomorrow!!
It's 'tomorrow' and we've arrived bright and early at the starting point, Wisma Elken at Old Klang Road. We were the 7th most kiasu team to arrive here, out of a total of 45 teams taking part. not bad, not bad...since the car in pole position (F1 jargon for 1st car) gets a headstart during flagging off.
These girls look more like they're getting off from work after a long night....kekeke...
dude : this must be my lucky hunt
The number '37' on mark's car simply means we were the 37th team to register for the hunt.

which in our most bizarre minds, also meant, 3+7 = 10, and 1+0 = 1
(1st/ CHAMPIONS!!..woohooo!!...*evil laugh*)
ok, so it was our company T-shirt, but the blue and white combi was sooooo right for the theme, h2O!
only coffee for brekkie? @X!O#$
Currypuffs in a box was our only source of energy for a 5 hour long hunt... :-(
Some team decorated their car ...suck-up...hahaha
Someone wore a Felipe Massa shirt! for inspiration while driving on the road, maybe?
Look at what these dudes wore for the hunt.
This team came wearing goggles! See my head pointing in their direction?
These good-looking people are mark (driver), yin (timekeeper), me (i'm just here so i got something to blog about! :-0) and elly (ms navigator) and we call ourselves team 'Tsunami'.
get it? the theme...h2O..water...TSUNAMI...(powerful rumbling waters...means "BeWaRe of us, u other weaklings..muahahahahaha *thundering sound* !")
Our other compatriots were 'Lord of The Hunt'. These guys were a real fun bunch and the pros in treasure hunting. Without dem guys, we would have been so stuck!!
and 'The Tombraiders' proved to be another force to reckon with!
Together, our aim was to conquer the hunt and rise to the top!!
Everyone, fold your arms like this and do our chant for success.
There was a huge turnout, all eagerly awaiting for the final briefing and then flag-off.
All in position with McLaren on pole and Ferrari in second place...
The hunt led us through areas like Bangsar and Section 14, figuring out answers from signboards and billboards using the clues given. It could be as straightforward as
Clue: 'Mungkin tebing' meaning = MAYBANK
to
Clue: 'Bancuhan air manis' meaning some frigging shop with the name 'PARIS' in it...(!)
get it? hehe...
Then there was this drinking challenge to down as many bottles of R.O. water as we could in 45 secs
Poor mark (being the only guy, he was our victim of course) managed 2 and a half bottles...good job!
We were on the run (literally!) so much, we didn't managed to capture much photos during the hunt (shows how badly we wanted to win right? heehee).

But we did managed to catch this car that 'mati enjin' along the way..heehee
At the finishing line, after 5 long straight, grueling, dehydrating, toilet-deprived, starving hours of mind boggling, hair pulling stunts, here we were finally submitting our sweat-drenched answer sheets. lol.
..and handing out our 'treasures', which were basically sundry items we needed to purchase as part of the hunt. There was something else to look forward to after the hunt...
...a nice scrumptious Jap buffet from Xenri!
Their 'to-die-for' potato salad!! or ok, maybe just 'to-kill-for'.
I like the ones at the back, with the yellow centre...some kind of Jap pickle me think.
My little palate of Japanese yummies... =_=
Shortly after, it was time to announce the winners.....................heart racing...
do we stand a chance eh, do we, do we?
Look who decided to pop by to celebrate our soon-to-be-announced victory...

Agnes and hubby!! who are also Elken distributors, btw.
With all my enthusiasm and confident remarks, you have must thought we came out tops right? hahaha...well truth is, the results weren't dat important to us. Plus, since it was only our 2nd hunt and mark's first (!), we were looking to have more fun and exposure this time around...
sigh, how will i do in this hunt...
...part of the battle was won by the team spirit and craziness we all had in us!
us raring to go.....!
And us winning 7th placing (SURPRISINGLY) felt like we have won the Olympics!
So much for being car number 7 to arrive that morning! wat a coincidence.

Kudos to the Tombraiders who also took home 10th placing.
Hope we'll have the same enthusiasm and determination for the coming office hunt, for different teams though:)
