'Meatworks' works!

I've always wanted to try out the food at Meatworks, Solaris Mont Kiara since it opened in May 2010. There was so much hype about this place back then, that when i finally had the chance to dine there recently...
...the place was rather empty, i was thinking 'where did all the hype go?'...'where's the queue outside the restaurant?'
My first thought was the food quality had dropped tremendously or the prices were hiked, and that explains the steep drop in business.
Nevertheless, i was already there in this cosy restaurant with my in-laws, and i could only pray i do not disappoint the meat connoisseurs, for recommending this place.
The name speaks for itself of course. As much as vegans would just walk past this place, meat lovers on the other hand would be very tempted to satisfy their cravings with the biggest piece of meat that they could afford.
I took the below picture from their menu and even though the meat displayed here looks really dry, the real deal isn't at all!
On the contrary, the Rib Eye Steak (medium rare, the bloody way hubby likes dem!) was cooked to perfection! For a price of RM 58, the fluffy creamy whipped potato and side vege were the perfect complement too!

I wanted something more 'manageable' and yet how could i miss not trying their famous MEAT, therefore i went for their Steak Sandwich (RM 24). Loved the generous strips of beef sirloin topped with plenty of mustard (yey my fave topping too!). I had salsa sauce too, though it kinda felt out-of-place. But let me tell you about my fries, OH MY DAMN TASTY FRIES!! Can i say they tasted so 'original' (if you know what i mean)?

Now, this ain't your typical Fish & Chips platter. Trust my mum-in-law to order something classier known as Tempura Red Snapper (RM 28). It did not disappoint either. Another good dish to order. ^^

The final main course was my dad-in-law's Linguini Marinara (RM 28). Another thumbs up from him too for the fresh sea food and yummeh sauce.

Our starters came out after our mains, so that really wasn't expected, especially after our tummies were filled. Luckily, the Garlic Baguette turned out to be super crispy and 'garlicious'... A well spent RM 10 for a perfect ending to our meal. Note to self - 'DO not procrastinate any longer to making the perfect home made garlic bread'. Trust me, it's actually pretty simple!!
And to top everything off, this Double Choc Chip Milkshake (Yup, you heard me...DOUBLE!) was screaming 'FAT FAT FAT!' the entire time i was gulping it down. Well, at the same price of RM 12.80 for a  normal Choc Chip Milkshake, even YOU would go for the DOUBLE right?!

So there you have it, i had a heavenly time in Beeftopia!

Quite a hefty tab of RM 200 for 4 pax, but definitely worth trying at least once.

Then again.

And again.

And again.
