Who talks about lou sang in May? Just me... As im doing my 2016 cny roundup pics here. Lol. As usual we always have no less than 5 sessions of lou sang in Imbi each cny. Best part of it? The additional home-made touch to it by the inclusion of the freshest vege and pear/apple strips and fragrant 'daun limau purut' into it.
First morning of cny is all about gathering at Imbi grandma's place to enjoy delicious longevity noodles and for ang pow exchange of course!
Cousins Darren, Tristan and Hayley all dressed in red.
Cny in Melaka...
Favourite pastime of the kids is definitely ball kicking around the garden.
Hay cant kick yet so she'll just be observing closely for now.
Darren finds the Spidey mask made by my big brother during his school days. Easily some 30 years ago but still kept in great condition by mom.
Fam photo underneath our golden glowing pineapple.
One with mom and dad
Jason's family were too kind to invite us for a private Peranakan dinner at its Malacca Association building.
Originally a Peranakan house, this place still holds its true features and design of an authentic Baba Nyonya house.
The huge hall where the dinner was held.
The live band made up of these youngsters were awesome!
The food too stayed true to its Nyonya flavours.
Having some shots around the house
Millie's failed wefie.. Lol
Fun games for the night.
Even dancing competition for the kids. Darren was super sporting, strutting his grooves on the dance floor.
Thumbs up from Darren for winning a prize.
For someone who hates drinking water, he drank so much of it that night.. Much to my amusement especially when he strikes this pose while downing his water.
Just 3 months apart, there will come a day when these 2 cousins play masak-masak together..
... And these 2 boys play ball in the field?
With gong gong
Who gets ready accommodation the size of the entire room? My mom does!
Dear's annual form 6 cny gathering in Choo Ta's house
So many are married with kids now, its a must to have an area for the children to play and mingle.
The serving of humongous fishballs is a usual thing in Choo Ta's house.
Darren looking pleased with his newly purchased doctor kit.
Another annual Makan-makan with ex colleagues. This time around, in Damansara village Steamboat, Imbi.
A must-have!
No idea what was ordered coz i arrived late but here they are...i see scallops!!
Cant wait to dig in!
Loved the variety of ingredients... I didnt even managed to try each and every one of it! The food quality though fresh, was so so to me.
Village chicken was tasty but as usual, i always prefer a more tender 'bak jam' chicken.
During the entire night, i think we spent more time in front of the camera than actually enjoying our dinner.
Courtesy of yin peng, we all got a nice toast for cny.
Cny is never complete without my usual house hopping...like to the house of Mary Goh...
...and the coziness of siew fong's new crib
Awesome lunch prepared by auntie.
At kbj's house, we are always welcomed by her nephew Samuel and his huge collection of toys.
Totally like Darren's wonderland here.
Good company that came to visit.
Nice catching up with ex colleagues at Lau Heong.
Hay with Derek's boy
Last but no least, another lunch with ex JLT buddies, all of whom has left except for Cheryl.
At Longhorn Steakhouse... They even served yee sang but we didnt order any coz it felt rather out-of-place. Lol
Alicia was my partner in crime during JLT days...
With newly-wed Cheryl, one of the most patient girl i've ever worked with. Miss ya girl!
It was a very eventful 2016 cny for me but the best part of it has got to be the treasured moments spent with my loved ones. Lets all continue to be bestowed with good luck and good health this year and quit monkeying around ya!
