Bangkok Pt 4 - Terminal 21

During my Bangkok stay, Terminal 21's food court came highly recommended by Ember. Little did i know that this place on Sukhumvit Road wasn't just your generic shopping mall.

While it's design is very much like an airport terminal, each floor represents a different country altogether.

Imagine every scale of unique architecture here, from San Francisco's famous Golden Gate Bridge to sculptures of the mythical Greek God.

Struck with awe, i was determined to explore every single floor of this 9-storey mall, despite my rumbling tummy (remember i came here for food!). Anyway, the floors and its unique concept are :-
Carribean - Rome - Paris - Tokyo - London - Istanbul - San Francisco (2 floors) - Hollywood.

For example, the Istanbul floor is beautifully lit with enchanting lamps.

What captivated me most was the uniquely designed toilets.

Awesome ain't it?

You'd never guess this path leads to the toilets on London floor! The subway's fake!

The toilet cubicle doors!

Outside, they even got the iconic double decker bus. No joke bringing this bad boy into the mall.

Japan floor was exquisite with life-size dolls all around.

Rushing off to the toilets again.....this was one time we didn't mind peeing on every single floor.

Looking like we were heading to some Japanese home....

...which turned out to be yet another restroom!

Another toilet of this same floor had a harajuku theme..

SO kawaii!! (that means 'cute' in Jap)

FINALLY made our way to the 5th floor, where their famous foodcourt, Pier21 is. Absolutely no regrets about this place. Food's blardy good, prices genuinely cheap (for a mall standard) and no problem finding an empty seat as this place is huge.

In fact, we loved this place sooooo much, we came back here for the following day's dinner.
Here's a glimpse of what we ate...

The braised pork set was heavenly, it wasn't enough even for me!

Dear's all-time fave, Pad Thai.....and the version here is super spicy and flavoursome!

Pork and its spare parts noodle thingy....can't recall the name but had certainly memorised the location of this stall coz i'll be back for more one day! What's the deal with the pork here that's so tender and odourless?!

Beef noodles which i seldom order, but loved the broth to the max!

Fried rice which tasted spicier than it looks here.

OK, the individual food portion of this food court may be slightly below par, but that's why it's so affordable eating here! Imagine having Pad Thai for only 30 Baht (RM3)! Of course, this also means we could order a variety of goodies and eat till our hearts content!

I'd think twice about ordering their cold drinks here though, like the popular milk tea perhaps?

The amount of ice they fill in your cup CAN give you brain FREEZE just by looking at it.
