more tery pork

I've gladly returned to Tery Pork ever since my first visit here just days before my delivery.
Got more pics here to share with you. They may be non-halal but very mouth-watering, i assure you.

still watering? : p....

missing dave....

Remember Dave, my nephew? This is how Dave looks like now... A super duper hyperactive boy who climbs all over his parents, grandparents and whoever else is carrying him. Even my big strong dad finds him a handful. Dad has gotten his 2 grandsons mixed up....like today, he sms-ed me 'How's Dave?' haha.

Makes me recall the time when he used to call all his children's name first before getting the right one.."Victor, eh Millie, aiya, Sylvia...

Oh no, Dave doesn't have the Steven Gerrard look anymore...though he still shows a tinge of 'gwai lou' -ness. He's looking sooo playful here.
Here's Dave on his very first bus ride in S'pore. Mmm, I don't see Darren sitting on a Metro or Rapid KL bus anytime soon. I think our local buses certainly need some good scrubbing and sanitizing by the germ-busters.

Last but not least, a photo of 3 generations of the Yap family....
We're looking at a gap of >70 years separating the youngest and the oldest.
Now that's priceless!!

and darren heads out ...

Before heading out today, mummy makes sure i fill my tummy first.
"Nom nom nom...."
Then mummy makes sure i'm looking my best.
"With eye lashes like mine, who needs mascara?"

Get ready KAY-EL, here i come!!

a birthday card like no other

Dunno about you, but i DO try to keep all my birthday cards, especially those that money can't buy...

Like this one made from recyclable material ...
or this one filled with so many wishes, it takes the longest duration to read,
or this one that describes a beautiful friendship through meaningful song lyrics.
This one deserves the 'Creative Award' - a tiny tiny card of personalised messages from .... who? ...well, see those 4-digit numbers? they are telephone extension numbers of my witty colleagues.
One year i got a mirror but this ain't no ordinary mirror ... this time, my wishes came in the form of animal prints and clips. cute to the max!
Last but not least, i think this one here could just be my fave one so far!

Nice lehhhh..... ^.^

x

A very personal posting ahead...

So, the story goes that i nearly choked on my bun this morning as i came across an article in The Star on couples that tied the knot on d special date that is 29 Feb.
Holy Camoly! One of those couples being photographed were my X and his bride!

*jaw dropped* .. followed by *bun in mouth dropped*

Not that i did not expect my X (labelled 'sc*mbag' back then) to get married one day, but i had always thought i'd hear about it by word of mouth. Certainly not see it in the papers! lol.

I can't particularly say i feel angry or hurt (anymore) especially since he DID eventually end up with the one i'd like to call the 'third party' (labelled 'b*tch' back then). Yea it was real bitter the way our relationship ended, but oh well, that was more than 4 years ago. The bitter fruit was long swallowed, digested and flushed down the bowl to the deepest core of the earth.

In fact, two words from me....No regrets.

As fate has it, i have matured (in many ways) from my past 7-year relationship with this X of mine. In fact, i have him to thank, for this blog would never have existed if we were still together.

In short, our breakup was a total blessing in disguise. Gratefully, i'm happily settled down now with my hubby and child whom i can't be more fond of.

And now, for the fun part ....

My X today...

Can't say much for the bride but the groom certainly has gotten beefier. Probably that's the reason why his eyes are hardly visible (?)  -.-  (ouch)

And the write-up on them ...
My initial reaction was .... "Come on-laaahh...who you kidding that you're only 32? helllloooo!" (this guy lied to the media by taking 2 years off his age...Quick, someone sue him for fallacy!)

And to say that 'their wedding anniversary would come only once in four years' ? gawd, what a frivolous statement. Does this mean the girl can only expect an anniversary gift once every four years? kesiann...

O-oh, am i a nasty girl to say all these things? lol.

ok, i'll be nice now and wish them

G-O-O-D L-U-C-K

and for pete's sake, Mr X, i wish you'd be a worthy son and treat your old folks much better. -.-
