theng theng's full moon

Question : What's worse than having swollen gums a day after a dental surgery?

Answer : Knowing that your appetite for food has not gone down.

So, since i can't eat whatever food i want now, i'll just write about it.

I recently went to the full moon dinner party for agnes' little one, theng theng. What a nice cosy set up right by their apartment's poolside.

 It was after i took this picture that i realised it wasn't a very environmentally-friendly themed party. LOL.

 The night was all about the FOOD served; hence there shall be no baby photos here.
Ok la, actualy i totally forgotten to take pictures of theng theng...sorree.
Here were just some of the dishes we had ...mostly home-cooked, just the way i had expected them.
The Braised Chicken Feet with Mushroom was my second fave after the Chicken Wine (which had the most pungent tasting soup ever - the soup must have gotten me so drunk that i forgotten to take a picture of it).

 The rest of the dishes were aplenty, they alone occupied 2 tables out of the 4.

 Apart from the traditional red eggs, there were at least another 4 types of kuih.

 Best thing was, since we were amongst the first batch to arrive, not to mention helped with the setting up, we got to eat first. Hehe.

 Doesn't it all look just yummeh?!

Man, i would KILL to eat solid food like this again .....  ouch (holding up swollen cheeks)  :(
