Crystal Jade, Pavi

This is the 'halal' Crystal Jade in Pavi. Lots of variety to choose from Western to Asian cuisine and every order of main course comes with refillable salad, fruits and ice cream! This was my order of Hainanese Chicken Chop which was not too bad...like the side vege cept for the hard peas!
Moon (birthday boy!), Siew Fong and Mark eagerly awaiting their fooood...
ooh we're feeling so blue...

Now we're just so red-hot...Bee Jin : like cooked prawns!

Moon and his usual lemon lime drink...(don't only girls drink this..haha)..his veeeerry creamy spaghetti was too much for him to handle, luckily Mark was a cream-lover...slurrp..

Bee Jin and Tan...actually i was more interested in the pretty orange-looking drink..hehe

The Chocolate Lounge

Visit The Chocolate Lounge for a chocolatey good time...these pics are its outlet in 1Utama. There are loads of chocolate bites here that look simply too pretty to be eaten!
My initial thought was this place must be pricey judging by the name and outlook of this cafe...but it's not too bad ya know...i mean, it's like getting an ice blended drink at Coffee Bean.. :-) (not that i do it very often..u_u)
Such comfy couches for you to chill with your choc!
Couldn't resist not trying the Belgian Waffles!

A look at their menu....I had the Ms Coco and it was slurrrpilicious! ><

Moment for G O L D ...?

So near yet so far...Msia's only hope for an Olympic gold medal lies on badminton player, Lee Chong Wei (picture) but alas, he only made it to silver...Tak pe tak pe..it is still a deserving pat on his back as our first silver-medallist! And the govt awards him well with a RM 300K reward and RM 3K/mth life-time pension... boleh tahan jugak lo..
aiyo i had no idea my picture was being taken while i was looking so worried ...why? i was watching the singles semifinal btw Chong Wei and Lee Hyun-Il (Korea)...

where? ... in the TV dept of Jusco, MV...

why there?...haha couldnt make it back in time for the game and in the midst of searching for restaurants with big-screen tv..we stumbled upon this hoard of people standing around the tvs for sale so we joined the shouting and cheering crowd..
see.see..cashier line also blocked..haha

Even the Jusco staff were busy watching!
such a nail-biting moment for me!..yin yin, stop taking photos la..

..and Msia wins the semis! Chong Wei, go hug your coach now!
heyy what's this about...haha...i just want to show you cutey He HanBin (Mixed double fr China)..he's second from right..only 23 yrs old.

2nd picture...spot the difference! haha...just the same cutey looking cool... ^_^

Gunong Datok .. so much f u n !

My first feel of rock-climbing...using ladder..haha!

Another trip to my hometown! haha...alrite, so the main agenda was actually to climb up G. Datok (a 855m-high hill located in Rembau, Negeri 9)..The daki kaki(s) this time were Agnes, Woo, Kim, Derek, Moon, June, Mary, Joshua and me! Too bad for Chin and Fong2 who couldn't make it....
We left for Siu~V Lodge on Friday night after work to get an early headstart on Sat. Timing for this trip was great for the Durian lovers...(sorry Moon & Woo :P)..Kim and Agnes just lurvvve their durian, even at 1 a.m.
Very early rise at 5 a.m. the following day..Agnes sipping her Milo and Moon chomping on tuna sandwiches bought from KL and assembled in Melaka!
So proud-la, we were the 2 earliest cars to arrive..SO worth the effort of dragging the guys out fr the house so early so we hv the forest all to ourselves! muahaha...thk god the place was easy to find with all the Google-ing done in preparation for this trip...For first-timers, there's a huge Keris to greet you too.
We had to register first our team and members' name plus pay a fee of RM 3/pax (for upkeep of the forest, i guess)..one regret though, we forgot to bring salt for this climb ... and most of us suffered because of this...hehe u'll see what i mean later...

Angan2..all looking so fresh and eager to conquer G. Datok!

Welcome to Hutan Lipur Gunung Datok, Rembau!

And the journey begins...

It's like a magical forest in there..

Check out the pattern on this leaf i found.

Me standing on the bridge leading into the forest...

While others are way in front, me and Kim busy posing for the camera...haha...we'll catch up!

peace from one sista to another!

Here's how you feed a banana to a monkey...

Half-way through the climb..dead-tired...but still need to SMILE for the camera... =^_^=

Below: Hi (high) Five !...THAT'S how tall Joshua (June's son) is...

Agnes : hmm...what is in this 100 Plus drink, i wunder...

Leech ATTACK!

..the 'unclaimed foot'...male/ female's? hmm...
June, Mary and Joshua still looking good wor...
omg, collapsed pondok!

public toilet..literally VERY public...it's in the open!...found this unused toilet in the camp site.
Below: Wow taking a shot from this angle certainly makes it look tougher than it really is...

June: how's the hair...

Cameraman: ok everyone, smiileee and pretend you do not hv wobbling knees right now ><
June and Joshua attempting to climb the highest level..
Me and Agnes.. pls ignore the 2 keh-leh-feh...

er...again, supposed to focus on me and agnes only....hehe

Hooray to Joshua, Derek and Moon for making it all the way to the top!
this must be the highest boulder dem guys could find..so misty up there blocking the view of Seremban town...otherwise maybe can catch bird-eye view of Siu~V Lodge!

Mr and Mrs Woo...

Rock-chilling...

Mist approaching...
look at the 3 heads ... looks like nipples on the rock

Here's us at the entrance of Coconut House, this new Italian place on Jln Tun Tan Cheng Lock, opposite Baba House...it was nice, so if you're in my home town, do try their Rosemary Roasted Chicken and Pocket Pizza..yummmy..(aiyo, so hungry right now..) .OH, and their Irish Coffeee too!
caught on camera! these are the sleepy and hungry faces while waiting for the foood to arrive

YES, this is the Irish Coffee (contains liquor) I was talking about..
drunkard Woo...(dun worry, role playing only...)

A variety of tarts from The Tart Shop along Jonker Walk...their Chendol is not quite up to standard though...still i enjoy Donald & Lily's version and Restoran Muar's (in Jln Alor, KL)

finally...who can forgo the infamous Satay Celup! Wanted to bring them to Capitol Satay but the queue was up to a few longkang(s) long so we went to the Ong Kim Wee outlet (which i think has the better kuah!)

Woo's wash-basin ...for the satay..

Cold hard proof that these guys were really in Malacca..Derek and Moon standing in front of Christ Church..

Becas (trishaws) all lining up to pick up the tourists. From what i heard, rides start from RM 20..but give them a buck and they'll let you sit in the trishaw for a picture.

The guys dorm...natural sunlight shines in as early as 8am! haha...kesian...no sleep-ins...
June does the hula-hoop dance...and does it really well!!

Duck noodle from the Bukit Bruang stall...damn gud esp the soupy version...this stall was even mentioned in those 'best places to eat' books printed by Star and Flavour Mag.

Thing about those set-timer shots...u gotta get into position fassst...or else u end up with something like this..hahahaha! Recognise the background? It's taken at the Portuguese settlement, Ujong Pasir. We used to be able to walk along the jetty out to the sea but sadly, the wooden jetty has collapsed.. :<
We also made it for the 45 min Malacca river Cruise..and lucky us, we got the only English speaking tour guide.

The mini cruise takes us to view the Flor De La Mar (if i got the name correct)

smile everyone..the cruise is about to start... =D

View of the river-bank to see many old houses which will be restored soon...

The giant water-mill is according to the guide,..not completed yet?..i wonder what's the significance with Malacca history...

Our river guide shows us how to buy pants without trying them on...bring 2 ends together and if it goes around your neck nicely, it's the perfect size...for your waist at least....true ar..?

hey, the guide was cool enough to take this group photo for us after the boat ride...recommend you to join this ride..only RM 10/pax...just make sure you find out the starting point of each rides as it differs for the morn, noon and night sessions..We board ours from opposite the clock tower.

It's off to lunch at Donald & Lily's Nyonya Cafe..the day's specials were Asam Pari, Ayam Pong Teh, Rojak Taukua, Laksa Kari and of course, their sweet, creamy chendol! I think all of us had 2 bowls each!
Look at the amount of food the guys walloped!
...and the girls had sooo little to eat...waaah..

Amazing queue for chicken rice ball...we skipped that as we prefer our chicken to be tender and moist!..plus give me a plate of chicken rice and i'll make it into balls for u.

Final agenda for the day before driving back to KL...DURIAN feast again!
Thanks Daddy Durian for the supply of durian, rambutan and lime! until next year... :-D

Hope the rest had a memorable trip...i know I would lurve to retun to G. Datok one day..
